The next members’ show in August will be in the renamed Joondalup Art Gallery, when the re-branding process at the Central Walk venue is complete.

‘It will be the same address, same space and same values and vision for the development and support of visual arts,’ co-ordinator Val Shaw said.

For this month’s autumn show, 26 artists have 41 pieces of all shapes and sizes, including acrylics, oils, chalk pastels, watercolour, mixed media, textiles, photography, digital prints, solar prints and collagraphy.

‘This is an extremely diverse, colourful and lively exhibition,’ Mrs Shaw said.

‘Subject matter includes large, luxurious abstract mixed media work, giant flowers and a diversity of landscapes and portraiture.

‘There are dancing figures, sunsets, birdlife, beach scenes, animal portraits and wearable artworks.’

The exhibition is open until Friday, May 2. Opening hours are Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 3pm and Friday and Saturday, 6pm to 9pm (excluding Easter public holidays).
