The signs have been installed at Neil Hawkins and Blue Lake parks in Joondalup, Sir James McCusker Park in Iluka, Wolinski Park in Mullaloo and McCubbin Park in Woodvale.
More signs will follow at Broadbeach and Flinders parks in Hillarys. The lake at Sir James McCusker Park was affected last year by an outbreak of avian botulism from people feeding the birds.
Bacteria also affects wildlife if they ingest human food because it is not part of their natural diet.
