Clarkson Detective Sen Sgt Gary Saunders said police raided a holiday chalet on Two Rocks Road, Yanchep, about 11am on Monday, May 27, where they found items consistent with those used to manufacture illegal drugs.

Sgt Saunders said the incident was linked to a Quinns Rocks property, where police pursued a vehicle after it was seen leaving that house, but that car crashed soon afterwards in Ceduna Way.

Detectives charged a 40-year-old woman of no fixed address, who had allegedly been driving the vehicle, with attempt to manufacture a prohibited drug, possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply, possession of MDMA, dangerous driving to escape pursuit by police and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She remains in custody and detectives also charged a 27-year-old Ashby man with attempt to manufacture a drug and possession of a prohibited drug.

‘We executed a search warrant at an address in Quinns Rocks where further equipment and chemicals consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine was located,’ Sgt Saunders said.

As a result of the search, detectives laid charges against three people who lived there, including an 18-year-old man for alleged possession of a controlled weapon.

They charged a 36-year-old woman with two counts of possessing prohibited weapons, one of possessing a prohibited plant and one of possessing drug paraphernalia.

Another woman (22) was charged with possessing a prohibited drug.

‘All of these people were summonsed to appear at Joondalup Magistrates Court at a later date,’ Sgt Saunders said.

In another investigation, detectives executed a drug search warrant on a Two Rocks house on May 23 and as a result charged a 36-year-old woman and her 30-year-old de facto partner with cultivating a prohibited plant with intent to sell or supply.

They also charged both with possessing a prohibited drug, cannabis, with intent to sell or supply.

Both will appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on June 14, where the man will also face charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing a prohibited weapon, a crossbow.

‘We are going to have a very big focus over the next few months in the Yanchep Two Rocks area,’ Sgt Saunders said.
