Duo’s adventure venture

In December 2013, he fell two storeys while doing home repairs, and was told he would have to wear a halo brace on his upper body for six months.

Nursed by his wife Anna, he recovered and had the brace removed in three weeks, allowing the father-of-two to lead a fully-booked motorcycle tour to India through Nevermind Adventure two months later.

Inspired by passions for motorcycling, adventure and India, the pair started with a stall selling travel products in Fremantle Market, which they have expanded to stores in Hay Street, Perth and Hillarys Boat Harbour.

The company also started to offer tours, including Mrs Natonewski's non-motorcycling adventures for women to the Holi Festival in Rajasthan.

"A visit to Nevermind should be an adventure," Mr Natonewski said.

"It will draw you like a moth to a lamp with the lure of tales untold, of adventures unlived. Our stores stock a wide range of unique handmade leather baggage and travel related products.

"They all inspire adventure, simplicity, practicality and are all produced by real people under comfortable work conditions and are all environmentally friendly.

"You can even book an adventure with us where we will take you to the remote locations where we make our products."

Beyond the adventures, the business funds an Indian primary school that the family have supported for seven years.

"Our little school in Agra, India provides free education to more than 100 students from a building not much more sophisticated than most Australians" garden shed," Mr Natonewski said.

The Melville resident said they aimed to "buck the trend of mass production" through their products and change lives through the tours.

"Once our guests have travelled with us to India, seen the most amazing places on earth, and we have shown them our school and our kids, they are never the same," he said.

Describing himself as an "entrepreneur and non-conformist", Mr Natonewski has ridden motorcycles since he was 10 years old and travelled around Africa, Europe, India and Australia before settling in Perth.

Well travelled through Europe and Asia, professional photographer Mrs Natonewski used her creativity to develop the company's websites and design the store fit-outs.

Nevermind Adventure operates motorcycling safaris on classic Royal Enfield Bullets through Rajasthan, The Himalayas, India, Nepal, Tibet regions and around Perth.

There are more than 20 overseas tours planned in 2015 and 2016. To book, visit website www.nevermind adventure.com.
