East Landsdale residents to get better bus access

RESIDENTS in east Landsdale will now have better access to bus services.

Following community consultation during August, Transperth has extended bus route 450 further east into the suburb.

Buses now travel further east along Kingsway and north on to Alhambra, Huntington and Hagar Parkways, before ending at Alexander Drive just south of Gnangara Road.

Corimbia Estate resident Anna Muccilli had been advocating for the extension for five years and she was pleased it had finally occurred.

“I’m very excited the extension of bus route 450 has been approved and the bus stops have already been installed,” she said.

“It’s a huge win for all the residents of Corimbia Estate and the eastern corridor of Landsdale.”

Transperth has made other changes, including to route 467 in Pearsall, which now runs via Brooklyn Avenue and Kemp Street instead of East Road and Archer Street.

In Edgewater, an additional 465 bus servicing Mater Dei College will leave the school at 3.30pm and the same route leaving Whitfords Station at 8.49am is no longer stopping at Woodvale Secondary College because of poor patronage.

There are time changes to various bus routes including 352, 365, 372, 376, 386, 388, 389 and 465.
