The Times Higher Education rankings were released last week at the Young Universities Summit in Dublin.

The news came a day after the QS World University Rankings by Subject placed ECU in the top 200 for education and communication, and media studies.

The 100 under 50 rankings assess universities on research, teaching excellence, international outlook and innovation.
