The Times Higher Education rankings were released last week at the Young Universities Summit in Dublin.
The news came a day after the QS World University Rankings by Subject placed ECU in the top 200 for education and communication, and media studies.
It is the third year in a row these ECU subjects have been included in the list.
The 100 under 50 rankings assess universities on research, teaching excellence, international outlook and innovation.
With our three campuses, ECU has strong connections with the northern suburbs, inner suburbs and South- West communities, ECU Vice-Chancellor Steve Chapman said.
But this ranking shows we are also globally focused, attracting world-class people to ECU and providing exciting international opportunities for our students and researchers.
