The City’s Young Australian League upper secondary scholarship is open to local students completing years 10, 11 or 12 at a school in the City who need financial help to achieve their educational goals.
Mayor Tracey Roberts said the $3000 scholarship could make a significant difference in a students’ life.
“The scholarship is specifically aimed at students who are full of ambition for their education and potential career, but don’t necessarily have the financial means to achieve those goals,” she said.
“In addition to tuition fees, the scholarship may cover costs such as textbooks, reference material, student accommodation and any other expenditure which could otherwise prevent access to further education.”
