STUDENTS from a Girrawheen school created 500 boxes filled with gifts for disadvantaged children.

Nearly 350 students from kindergarten to Year 8 at Emmanuel Christian Community School in Girrawheen contributed to the fundraising initiative as part of Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child project.

They spent a day at the end of last term filling shoeboxes with clothing, toys, gifts and hygiene items they had collected.
