One of the main elements of the new venue is a 6m high, 23m wide frameless glass window overlooking the resort’s 27-hole golf course.
It also has high ceilings, four motorised screens up to 6m wide, an LED colour-change lighting system and was designed to complement the landscaped quarry and surrounding environment.
Chief executive Wayne Carroll said the Christou company-designed ballroom added another dimension to special events being held in the northern suburbs.
‘And it introduces a new era to conferencing and entertainment in the region,’ he said.
It was an alternative to the traditional CBD venues, he said.
The inaugural ball will include silent and main auctions, door prizes, local entertainment and a three-course meal with proceeds going to Variety WA.
Tickets available from the resort.
