Ms Hawkins acknowledged Ms Jacobs’ early guilty plea for “driving 44km/h over the speed limit, which is very high in an area where you should be driving at 50km/h”.

She also acknowledged Ms Jacobs is currently not working and receiving Centrelink benefits.

Ms Hawkins issued a fine of $1200.

There were no court costs because it was a statutory requirement the matter be heard.
