‘Experiment’ gone wrong as North Beach man on explosives, weapons charges

Police charged the North Beach resident after searching his home on February 24.

It is alleged officers discovered a homemade improvised explosive device and other items used to make explosives.

Joondalup Detectives Senior Sergeant Brad Burnett said police did not think the 35-year-old man had planned to use the munitions but was allegedly ‘experimenting’ with their production.
