Wanneroo artist has won the first Joondalup Community Arts Association members art award.

Sookloll and other association members were asked to explore new ways of art making for the inaugural JCAA Members Selection Exhibition.

Judges then selected four finalists from photography, sculpture, mixed media and painting to exhibit at the Joondalup Art Gallery in October.

‘The exhibition has been a great success, beautiful work of a very high standard was produced by the four exhibiting artists,’ Gallery coordinator Val Shaw said.

Ms Shaw congratulated Eva Boogaard (photography), Susan Hoy (sculpture) and Hettie Rowley (mixed media) for presenting ‘an exhibition with a difference’.
