A MAN allegedly attacked his neighbour in the Perth suburb of Hocking after accusing him of making disparaging remarks to his wife on Facebook.

Police this month charged a 61-year-old man over the incident.

Officers said the Hocking residents, who had known each other for 10 years, had an altercation on October 23 at 7.30pm.

The accused allegedly went to the 60-year-old victim’s home to question him about his social media behaviour.

Police said he was asked to leave but allegedly forced his way inside and punched the man when he came to the front door.

The victim was left with a head wound requiring 10 stitches.

The man was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and aggravated burglary for his alleged forced entry into the home.
