Fourth-year teaching student Emma Menegaldo, on placement at the Kingsley school, organised the Eco Faeries to visit her and teacher Jane Ridley’s class.
‘Eco Faeries came along and supported the work the school’s doing in becoming a wastewise school,’ Ms Ridley said.
‘We have a veggie garden and we are also a waterwise school.’
She said the school also hoped to recycle paper and cardboard and treat organic waste, such as vegetables and students’ fruit, with compost bins. A long-term aim was to have chickens.
