Falcons’ feathers ruffled

The February 2 music festival’s set-up and take-down operation will force the Falcons to move about 180 footballers elsewhere for pre-season training.

The players will be able to return to the ground for just one week before the Future Music Festival begins setting up for its March 2 event.

The Times contacted VenuesWest, which owns Arena Joondalup, for comment but a spokesman said: ‘we are currently working with West Perth on an equitable agreement and I’d rather keep that conversation strictly with them and us’.

Mr Raponi said West Perth used the facilities five nights a week for colts and senior squad training.
