Family celebration of five generations

The northern suburbs family are celebrating having five generations together, with the addition of baby Kaiden about three months ago.

Olwyn Agrela, of Marangaroo, said her mother Rose had been so happy on the day Kaiden was born.

Its really wonderful to see, from the youngest to grown-ups, caring for Rose and feeling blessed she is still able to enjoy birthdays and Christmas with us, Olwyn said.

Rose had a bad heart attack about 15 years ago and we were so lucky the doctors were able to save her. She has regular heart checks and the specialist is so happy that she hasnt suffered any more.

She said that Rose, born August 11, 1923, served in the army for several years, married and had five children.

She has 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, Olwyn said.

Rose still does washing, peeling vegetables and a little housework. Shes still quite active for her age and still remembers so much about earlier years.

We are all so blessed that she is still with us and hope we enjoy a few more years with her.

Olwyns son Bradley, of Tapping, and his daughter Chloe (Kaidens mum), of Banksia Grove, posed with their grandmothers for the family portrait.

Everyone enjoyed taking the photos and are all so happy that Rose was so happy they were able to get together for some photos with her newest addition, Olwyn said.

We all live in the northern suburbs and over the years quite a lot of us have participated in all different sports netball, soccer, cricket, athletics and football and have also attended local schools in Girrawheen and Marangaroo.
