The Padbury woman is looking forward to welcoming more at the centre’s family fun day- birthday celebration on Sunday, May 19, 10am to 1pm.
‘I love (working at the centre), it’s my life,’ she said.
Her husband Ray and father Gordon helped tend the gardens and lawns in the early days.
‘People say how long I’ve stayed but it’s not a chore for me,’ she said. ‘Every year a new committee comes in with new ideas, which is great.’
The family fun day, during National Families Week, will include an animal farm, balloon artist and magic show.
