Mrs Tilli has always enjoyed celebrating with ‘good food and good family’, a tradition that continued with two events to celebrate her 100th birthday last month.
Italian Aged Care in Marangaroo held a morning tea for Mrs Tilli to celebrate with residents and immediate family, then a lunch for about 100 guests, again mostly family, was catered for at the home a couple of days later.
Mrs Tilli, who had five children, has always lived her life for her family, which saw her migrate to Australia in 1957 after her eldest son made the move in 1952. She now has 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs Tilli has been living at Italian Aged Care for almost 10 years. She made the move when she was unwell, but living in the home has seen her health pick up and she can now enjoy many activities, including bingo.
