FUNDRAISING to support the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation became a family affair for the McCaughey family.

Carramar father-of-two Steven McCaughey will abseil 125m down the 28-storey Woodside Plaza building for the annual Abseil for PMH this weekend.

With help from his family, Mr McCaughey raised more than $7500 towards the cause.

‘It’s become a challenge my whole family has embraced,’ he said,

‘My daughter Aimee wanted to help me fundraise, so she made and sold loom band bracelets for her friends and teachers at school and raised $58.45.’

Places for this year’s three-day campaign from Friday to Sunday sold out in record time.

‘So many people have been impacted by PMH directly or indirectly, so it’s one of those things people want to help give back to and this is a great way to do that,’ Mr McCaughey said.

The campaign has raised more than $2 million in 12 years to fund equipment and research.
