Fashion show and Row to Rotto help charity

Staff ReporterWanneroo Times

Pink Gig is a group of women touched directly or indirectly by breast cancer who fundraise annually for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Breast Cancer Care WA and Silver Chain.

The women hosted 200 people at a fashion parade, silent auction and entertainment at The Breakwater, Hillarys Boat Harbour last month.

Among the guests were SLSC women rowers who, with their sweeps and support crews, faced challenging conditions on their October 13 Row to Rotto. One crew had to abandon its trip because of cross winds and a rough swell.

The other crew kept spirits high with laughter and banter to beat its previous time.
