PLANS to increase the housing density on a Sinagra development site are out for public consultation.

The City of Wanneroo has invited submissions until November 22 on an application by Taylor Burrell Barnett, on behalf of Northland Development, to recode 2 Torrenova Way.

The developer is seeking to reduce the average lot size from 450sq m to 350sq m when it subdivides the vacant 4ha site, which is adjacent to the Ingham’s poultry farm.

The developer also wanted to change the road network and planned to start developing the site in about 2022, after the poultry farm closed and its buffer was removed.

It has also applied to the WA Planning Commission to lift the urban deferred zoning on the site to allow subdivision to occur.

Stockland bought the 40ha poultry farm site in 2017, which it said could provide up to 700 homesites and plans to clear that site went out for initial consultation in late 2018.
