The council is due to consider its annual budget at a special meeting on June 9, having endorsed the overall increase in differential rates for public comment in April.

The proposed rates would result in minimum fees for residential improved lots increasing from $1205 this year to $1260, or the gross rental valuation rate in the dollar rise from the 7.1662 to 7.4958. The minimum rates for commercial or industrial lots would increase from $1183 to $1237.

The April 23 council report said the recommended rates would deliver a revenue increase of 4.91 per cent.
