The Big Top Festival Tent in Central Park was packed to capacity all weekend, with people queuing to watch a range of international puppetry, cabaret, circus and comedy acts.

By night, the big top served as the canvas for the visual artwork of VJ Zoo.

A stream of lights flowed along Boas Avenue and Grand Boulevard on Saturday night as 500 local students carried lanterns in the twilight parade.

Festivities culminated with a stunning performance of aerial acrobatics by Natural Wings, suspended above Central Park.

The Big Easy Outdoor Stage had the crowd moving with a range of musical performers, from orchestras to jazz and swing performers.

The Flea Circus marketplace was popular with bargain hunters.

Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard thanked the volunteers, performers and City staff who made the festival possible.

‘It was fantastic to see so many people of all ages enjoy what the festival had to offer,’ he said.
