The cities of Joondalup and Wanneroo are supporting a community initiative aimed at raising awareness of the importance of safety to help reduce road trauma by wearing a white ribbon.
Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard said the campaign’s long-term vision was for zero deaths and serious injuries from road crashes in WA.
‘I urge all members of our community to make road safety something you talk about over the Christmas and New Year holidays and help influence others about their behaviour so that they too make care on the roads a priority,’ he said.
Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said everyone had a role to play by obeying the road rules.
The campaign runs until January 6.
