Fete proves to be fun for all

Fairgoers enjoyed music from Challenge Brass Band, stalls, tombola, an art show, sausage sizzle, Devonshire teas and children’s games.

Friends of Wanneroo Aged Community secretary Sylvia White said the annual fundraiser was a success, despite less plentiful plants and fresh produce.

Residents and businesses gave goods as well as ingredients for making jams, pickles and cakes while Wanneroo cadets helped on the day.

‘All monies raised are donated to Belgrade Park Village, Jacaranda Lodge, Wanneroo Community Nursing Home and Barridale Lodge (Kingsley),’ she said.

‘We appreciate the time and effort people put in to making this day a great success every year as we could not do it without them.’
