A council document said construction of the Madeley park development would be deferred to the 2014-15 financial year due to its complex design and requirements for additional surveys and clearing permits.
Out of 122 comments received during public consultation, 118 respondents supported the plan and four did not want the park developed.
Changes to the initial concept plan include the addition of more traditional park equipment in place of a flying fox, a 995sq m turf area, relocation of play equipment and minimal clearing of the site.
