Fine for taser bought online

A WOMAN has been fined for being in possession of a taser she claimed she bought from wish.com.

Jasminka Angela Cvitan was due to appear in Joondalup Magistrate’s Court on Friday charged with being in possession of a controlled weapon but did not attend.

However, the police prosecutor applied to continue with the matter.

He said she was stopped by police in Wanneroo on September 12 for a roadside vehicle search where they found the taser in a box under the front passenger seat.

Magistrate Jennifer Hawkins issued a $350 fine and ordered Cvitan to forfeit the taser.
