AN eye-catching wreck stands on the dock at Hillarys Boat Harbour this morning after a boat fire overnight.

A man, believed to be in his 20s, was injured in the blaze and transferred to Fiona Stanley Hospital, which specalises in burns, from Joondalup Health Campus this morning.

It took four fire crews just under an hour-and-a-half to extinguish the blaze, which is believed to have been ignited by a cigarette reacting with fuel fumes about 12.30am.

The vessel, worth about $70,000, was destroyed in the blaze.
