Firefighters busy around Perth

FIRE fighters were busy keeping an eye on four fires around Perth overnight.

This morning, fire fighters received a report of a scrub fire in Champion Lakes near Lake View Terrace and Lake Road about 5.15am.

In Nowergup, fire crews are still tending to a bushfire that started near Lake Road and Wattle Avenue West yesterday afternoon about 3.30pm.

There was no threat to lives or homes.

In Port Kennedy, crews are keeping an eye on yesterday’s bushfire near Port Kennedy Drive and Bakewell Drive.

And in Singleton, firefighters tended to a fire that began near Cockatoo Close and Harmony Parade about 4.50pm yesterday.

All fires are contained and under control.
