Fire officer praised for his contribution

Mr Edwards, of Wanneroo, won the Outstanding Crew Member award at the department's annual graduation and awards ceremony earlier this month.

"Adam is a natural young leader who sets high standards and leads by example," department director-general Jim Sharp said.

"His positive approach to taking on additional tasks and his solid work ethic have earned him much respect within his Swan Coastal district work team and beyond.

"Adam's easygoing nature, coupled with well-developed technical skills, makes him a highly valuable staff member both on and off the fire ground." Environment Minister Albert Jacob presented recipients with their awards.
