Firearms and drugs arrests

‘As a result of investigations, on March 13, a search warrant was executed at an address in Quinns Rocks,’ Clarkson Detectives Senior Sergeant Gary Saunders said.

Sgt Saunders said they had laid 17 charges against a Quinns Rocks man (23) and two against his girlfriend (43). The man’s charges include stealing a motor vehicle, supplying amphetamine, two counts of possessing an unlicensed firearm, possessing amphetamine with intent to sell or supply, receiving stolen property and possessing drug paraphernalia in relation to Joondalup incidents.

He is facing seven charges of fraud, with three allegedly in Carramar, three in Wanneroo and one in Merriwa.

Detectives also charged him with two counts of selling unlicensed firearms in Quinns Rocks and Kinross.

Sgt Saunders said they charged both the man and woman with aggravated burglary and stealing in Wubin.

‘During the burglary, they have used an angle grinder to cut open a gun safe and steal four firearms and a large quantity of ammunition (1000 rounds),’ he alleged. The man has been remanded in custody while the woman was released on bail and is due at Joondalup Magistrates Court on April 16.
