Foreshore plan released for consultation

The City of Joondalup manages 206ha of bushland within coastal foreshore reserves, extending from Burns Beach to Marmion. The management plan identifies environment threats to these areas and makes recommendations to lessen their effect.

In preparing the plan, the City worked with the Joondalup Community Coast Car Forum that is made up of representatives from the Friends of Marmion Marine Park, Sorrento Beach, Korella Park and North Ocean Reef and Iluka Foreshore groups and the Mulalloo Beach Community Group. The draft plan will be advertised this month for three weeks and is expected to go before the council later this year for final endorsement.
