The childcare forum was held after Duncraig Early Learning Centre staff raised concerns about the Early Years Quality Fund.
Attendees discussed a draft report into childcare and early childhood learning, due for release by the Productivity Commission in October, as well as the importance of family day care, which is childcare provided by professionals in their homes.
Mr Goodenough said the report was the first major review of the childcare system since the 1990s.
‘The forum was organised in response to a number of inquiries from childcare providers in my electorate,’ he said.
