It is part of Hillarys Yacht Club’s (HYC) Discover Sailing Day between 9am and 1pm.
Club members will take individuals or family members out on boats ranging from racers to comfortable cruising yachts.
Those who go are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, a pair of white-soled shoes and to bring a beach towel ‘just in case’, a hat and sunscreen.

READ NOW‘Discover Sailing Day is a chance for all to try their hand at the helm or the sheets (nautical term for the ropes controlling rigging aboard a sailboat) and experience an enjoyable day out on the water,’ said HYC Rear Commodore of Sail Neil Harrison.
The club has angling, diving and power sections as well as sailing.
