NORTHERN suburbs schools have been flooded with colour this term for fundraising events.
Colour runs have taken place at several schools, including Beaumaris Primary in Ocean Reef, St Anthony’s in Wanneroo, East Butler Primary and St James’ Anglican in Alkimos.
About 490 students at St Anthony’s raised $20,635.39 to revitalise the bottom oval in their school fun run.
About 550 students at St James’ raised $9427.28 for charity in their school fun run.
“Our students are so excited about the money they’ve helped raise for the ‘12 for Twelve’ charity who aims for fundraise $100,000 for Beyond Blue,” Jesica Meulenkamp said.
“They thoroughly enjoyed participating in the school fun run alongside their peers as they cheered each other on.”
Beaumaris students used their October 25 colour run to raise money to install outdoor seating in the Year 5 and 6 eating area.
East Butler students took part in a colour fun run organised by the P&C on October 23 to raise funds for interschool uniforms and transport for 2019.
