Funding grant for volunteer care service

Staff ReporterWanneroo Times

Volunteer Task Force, which helps people with a limited financial, social and physical capacity, will receive $155,000 as part of the State Government’s $9.4 million increase in funding for Home and Community Care services across WA.

The money will go towards the organisation’s transport program that enables eligible older people or people with a disability to be driven to and from appointments and shopping as required.

Joondalup MLA Jan Norberger said the additional funds would support more people to maintain their independence and connection with the community.
