Baseball clubs will see the biggest portion of this, with more than $2 million listed for a third baseball diamond and batting cages and $447,000 for clubroom upgrades.
The funding includes a State Government loan of nearly $1.5 million carried forward from last year, as well as $297,000 from the City, $540,000 in new City funding and $200,000 from grant funding.
A sum of $793,000 for the consultation, design and stage one of construction for the regional playground was carried forward, made up of a $212,000 State Government grant and a $481,000 loan and $100,000 from the City, as was an additional $20,000 from the City for ‘playable art’.
And $968,000 was carried forward for staged redevelopment works, $893,000 of which is a State Government loan, as was a $64,000 State Government loan for additional upgrades.
Also carried forward was $37,000 in funding for external signage and $158,000 for building upgrades, including $10,000 for indoor stadium building fixtures.
