Sian (17), who works for Legal Aid, is a part of the Do It in a Dress campaign run by the One Girl charity.

Her mission is to raise $3000 by taking on several challenges, from campaigning in the community to skydiving.

As part of the challenge, she will do this while wearing a school dress to raise awareness and funds.

Local member for Kingsley Andrea Mitchell has also thrown her support behind Sian and the cause.

In Sierra Leone, only one in six girls gets the opportunity to attend high school.

‘In Australia, your average 15 year old girl has the undisputed right to an education,’ Sian said

‘They will have access to clean water, hospitals, electricity, and most importantly a warm bed at night.

‘If you believe every girl has the right to an education, it’s time to take a stand in a school dress for girls’ education,’ One Girl co-founder Chantelle Baxter said.
