THIS month’s Garage Sale Trail initiative has given Debbie Eddington the incentive and opportunity to declutter.

The Carramar resident signed up to host a garage sale, called Debz Hoarder Intervention, on October 21-22 after seeing the initiative in her City of Wanneroo rates notice.

“I thought that will be a really good idea to declutter,” she said.

“My kids are calling me a hoarder.”

Mrs Eddington said they would be selling a lot of baby stuff, including two high chairs and lots of toys her twin sons have outgrown.

She will also be parting with sewing patterns and clothes, and IT equipment that her husband has collected.

“I’ve got a lot of craft stuff that’s just sitting there, not doing anything,” she said.

“Rather than going to landfill, I would rather give it to people who want to use it.”

Her garage sale at 10 Strathalbyn Loop, Carramar will run from about 8am-3pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
