Girrawheen: boys allegedly threatened, robbed, teenage girl

TWO boys allegedly rode a motorcycle next to a 16-year-old girl and threatened to punch her if she did not give them her gold chain in Girrawheen last month.

The victim was walking with two friends when she was accosted about 4pm on Templeton Crescent on July 13.

Investigators allege one of the accused boys, aged 15, got off the motorbike and said “give me that chain or I’m going to punch you”.

He then undid the clasp of the chain.

Mirrabooka detectives detained him on Hollingsworth Avenue in Koondoola soon after.

He was allegedly in possession of the gold chain and other items believed to be stolen including an iPod and a wallet containing $200.

Police charged the Beechboro boy with aggravated robbery, possession of stolen property, stealing and breach of bail.

A 16-year-old Beechboro boy, who was allegedly riding the motorcycle, was charged with aggravated robbery, driving without a licence and vehicle theft.
