Girrawheen cadets lead school Anzac service

EMMANUEL Christian Community School in Girrawheen honoured those who have served in the armed forces at an Anzac service this week.

The school’s SES Cadet students ran the May 2 service at the secondary campus on Salcott Road, attended by local politicians.

Vietnam veteran David Scott talked about sacrifice and service being the Australian identity.

Senator Dean Smith, school principal Gary Harris, Cowan MHR Anne Aly and Girrawheen MLA Margaret Quirk.

The school will hold a Secondary 2020 open night on May 13 from 6pm to 7.30pm.
