YOUNG artists and performers will showcase their talents at a free City of Wanneroo Youth Market on April 21 at the Girrawheen Hub.
Planned by young residents from the City’s Youth Services team, the event will include market stalls, entertainment, free activities and refreshments.
Managed by youth aged 13-25 years old, the market stalls will offer goods from jewellery, art, soy wax candles, to house plants.

Entertainment will be provided by local singers and musicians, while roving magicians will roam through the crowd with their quick-handed tricks.
Mayor Tracey Roberts said the event was a way to acknowledge and celebrate the many contributions of local young people in the community.
“The City of Wanneroo is a young and vibrant place to live with people under 25 years of age accounting for 37 per cent of our population,” she said.
“It is therefore vitally important that we support and encourage our young people and their endeavours.
“The Youth Market is a fantastic event showcasing the many talents of our City’s young residents and I encourage all members of the community to get involved in the celebrations at the Girrawheen Hub.”
The market will be held during Youth Week from April 13-22 and has been made possible with a $1,500 grant from the Department of Communities.
