Good news on gym centre plan

The proposal was for a two-storey centre for gymnastic classes and ‘jungle gym’ activities at 19 and 21 Honeybush Drive, currently vacant.

According to a council document, the proposal was generally consistent with City requirements.

‘It is considered the overall design of the development is appropriate for the locality and the carparking is sufficient for the intended operation of the centre, which will bus in students, thereby removing the need for all 87 bays to be provided,’ it said.

A condition of approval stated a maximum of 117 people including employees would be permitted on the premises at any given time unless arriving and leaving by bus.
