Tyler BrownWanneroo Times

Running from noon to 7pm, the fair will feature more than 100 local and international beers and ciders.

‘Last year’s event was very successful for a first-year event,’ manager Kelly Pitman said. ‘We were really pleased with the turnout and are now in the position to continue building on it to make the fair bigger and better every year.’

Ms Pitman said Joondalup was ‘the perfect area’ to hold what will be an annual event.

‘A lot of food and wine events are happening down south but not a lot is going on north of the river,’ she said.

‘This year, we are pulling away from the oval and moving the fair completely in to the garden area. This will create a more intimate atmosphere for patrons.’

New this year will be musicians and buskers, roaming entertainers, talks on the brewing process, and a larger WA craft brewery presence.

‘We recognised last year that we needed more entertainment,’ Ms Pitman said.

Some of the beers on offer will include Australian International Beer Award champion Copy Cat American IPA from Mash Brewing Co., alcoholic ginger beer Zenzero from Black Kite Beverage Co. and some of the International Beer Shop’s favourites.

WA-based whiskey distillery Whipper Snapper will also have a cocktail stall.

There will be a family area with kids’ activities.

Tickets are $29 plus fees, which includes five free samples, from www.oztix.com.au.

Children under 15 are free.
