South-East Regional Centre for Urban Landcare (SERCUL) education officer Amy Krupa and school gardener Jeff Preedy worked with the students.

SERCUL provided the plants and equipment.

Teacher Cymbie Burgoyne said plantings would increase biodiversity and improve the environment.

‘These plants are creating a habitat for insects and birds, are low maintenance and don’t need a lot of water,’ she said.
