Harry marathon to work its magic

The announcement follows the efforts of Belridge Secondary College students Michael Kerrison and Mia Denny, who started a petition for the films to be played in a local cinema, as reported by the Times earlier this month.

The films will be shown at Event Cinemas in Innaloo across four weeks, with two films screened back to back each Sunday.

‘Event Cinemas have wanted to screen all eight Harry Potter films for quite some time; however, until recently some of the films have not been available digitally,’ promotions manager Jo Rao said.

‘Now that they are, we have worked hard to secure all the films so that Harry Potter fans, new and old can enjoy the experience on the big screen.

‘The films mean so much to so many people and we are excited to be able to screen them.’

The series kicks off with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone from 1pm on October 19.
