The State Government will provide the Wangara-based charity with $30,000 each year for the next four. Wanneroo MLA Paul Miles said the Coalition government had helped with the organisation’s factory unit rent since 2008.
It has produced more than 27,000 wheelchairs for poor children with disabilities throughout the world and makes about 300 wheelchairs a month.
Mr Miles said the volunteer-run organisation had been faced with increasing expenses to cover annual rental costs after expanding into more factory units.
