A MAN will face Joondalup Children's Court at the age of 45 after being charged with child sex assaults dating back to 1985 when he was under 18.
Police last week charged the man after investigating his alleged assault of a seven-year-old boy in Padbury about 30 years ago.
Officers charged the Lesmurdie man with sexual assault, two counts of aggravated sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and one count of indecently assaulting a child under 14.

While the man will have his initial hearing in the Children's Court, it is likely the June 10 hearing will be remanded for the man to reappear in a higher court.
