HOCKING Netball Club is looking good after receiving a $5000 funding boost.

The State Government delivered on its election promise to the club, which has used the funds for uniform and equipment upgrades.

Wanneroo MLA Sabine Winton visited the club last month to watch the Year 4 team play in their new attire.

“As a netball coach myself, I’m thrilled to be helping Hocking Netball Club grow our great sport in our community,” she said.

Club president Grant Bowen said they were thankful for the donation.

“It was important that we boosted the morale and profile of our club for our members by giving a professional look to our teams,” he said.

“The new uniforms have definitely done that.

“Our ultimate goal is to build a club that all of our Hocking and surrounding suburbs community can be proud of and this has certainly given us a big kick start towards that goal.”
