As well as widening the road, the upgrade includes installing new lighting, footpaths and cycle lanes.
A roundabout was also built at the intersection with Venturi Drive and the existing roundabout at Constellation Drive was upgraded to two lanes. The project cost $2.2 million, with $1.5 million coming from the Metropolitan Regional Road Program.
